The Journal of Writing Programs Worldwide is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal.

 Research Articles.  Research and theory driven articles that have practical applications for teaching writing, writing program initiatives,  writing centers, and WAC/WID initiatives. Approx. 7000-7500 words. Abstract (250 word limit) with sections: Introduction, Literature Review, Research Questions, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Citations. Include a separate cover page with Paper Title, Author(s), University Affiliation of the Author(s), Email, and Phone Number.

Teaching Articles. Action research and application that’s ready to be used in the classroom, writing programs, writing centers, WAC/WID courses. Approx 4,000-5000 words. Abstract (250 word limit) with sections: Introduction, Context, Materials or Methods, Discussion, Suggestions or Applications, Citations. Include a separate cover page with Paper Title, Author(s), University Affiliation of the Author(s), Email, and Phone Number.

Editorials.
 Editorials that offer insight into running writing programs, WAC/WID courses, writing courses, writing centers, and related topics. Approx. 3,000 words.
Abstract (200 word limit) with sections: Introduction, Assumptions or Background, Discussion, Conclusions, Citations. Include a separate cover page with Paper Title, Author(s), University Affiliation of the Author(s), Email, and Phone Number.

Book Review. Reviews of latest and current books dealing with writing programs initiatives, WAC/WID, writing centers, and teaching composition. Approx 500-1500 words.
