Journal of Writing Programs Worldwide

The Journal of Writing Programs Worldwide (Journal of WPWW) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes articles based on research, theory, and practice that contribute to an understanding of writing program initiatives at schools, colleges, and universities around the world. Journal of WPWW is one of the first transnational journals that aspires to understand teaching of writing done across-languages, across-disciplines, and across-cultures. The journal attempts to break the superficial understanding that research and teaching of writing is limited to English. It is a much needed publishing platform for teachers and scholars to talk about individual or departmental efforts that assist how writing is taught and learned in their locales. We welcome teachers, writing program administrators, writing center directors, and college/university administrators to share their research and successes.

The Journal publishes:

  • literature on shaping of writing programs and related areas of inquiry
  • ongoing research in teaching of writing and WAC/WID
  • varied writing center pedagogies & practices
  • successful new approaches to teaching writing
  • articles in different languages, depending on the availability of expert reviewers.
